RECC’s Annual Report Published
RECC (Renewable Energy Consumer Code) has published its 2013 Annual Report this month, highlighting its activities and achievements, as well as reporting some key findings on the renewables industry.
In summary:
- RECC membership fell to 4500 from 5500 in 2012. RECC report the decline is a result of the sector restructuring itself following the reduction of the Feed-In Tariff (FIT) with many businesses either ceasing to trade, merging or repositioning themselves.
- There were 1301 complaints registered with RECC, with one third falling fully within its remit.
- The majority of complaints (937) were concerning solar PV installations and the uncertainty and confusion around the reduction in the solar PV tariff.
- 1% of all domestic solar PV installations led to a complaint being registered with RECC. More than double the 0.5% of installations resulting in a complaint in 2012 and 0.4% in 2011.
- The South West of England accounted for the greatest number of registered FIT installations.
RECC Annual Customer Satisfaction Survey Results
RECC also conducted a customer satisfaction survey of members’ customers and received 1595 responses. The questionnaire found that 50% of householders rated their installers 10 out of 10 on the functioning of the system, while 53% rated installers 10 out of 10 for the way the system was sold to them.
