Investing in their conservatories is a spending priority for homeowners
Lloyds Bank Insurance has conducted new research into how homeowners live today compared to how they lived in their childhood homes — and the findings provide interesting insight into spending priorities.
Reasons why homeowners invest in home improvement:
- 65% want to improve the way their home looks;
- 23% to increase its value; and
- 12% to create more space.
The report also revealed how much homeowners invest in their home. The living room came out on top with a value of £5,031 and an average £607 was spent on them in the last 12 months. However spending on conservatories was the highest over the last year with an average of £1,096.
