Last week’s Solar Energy UK, held at the NEC from 14-16 October, was the most successful to date. The show has established itself as the number one UK event for solar industry professionals, and it attracted 200 exhibitors and over 4000 visitors from more than 50 countries. It was the first time Consumer Credit Solutions had been to the show and we were the only consumer finance provider that exhibited.
Solar Installers keen to find out more about consumer finance
Alex McCulloch, Head of Business Development, attended all three days and said: ‘The stand was extremely busy with the team speaking to everyone from new start-ups through to established household names. I estimate we met at least 150 businesses and we had the opportunity to sit down with manufacturers too. Overall, it was a very positive few days with lots of potential new avenues for us to explore and leads to follow-up.’
Andy Wallace, CCS Managing Partner, added: ‘It was a tremendous show and we’re likely to derive some new business. I was also pleased that some of our lenders and industry partners, including HIES, were able to join us on the stand and we were able to facilitate some key introductions.
‘It was also great to see so many of our existing clients at the show and to thank them for their ongoing support; they’re on target to receive over £150million in finance approvals by the end of 2014.’
‘We were the only finance provider at the show which helps consolidate our position as the market leader and get our message across – that we remain 100 percent behind the sector and believe solar PV finance for consumers is likely to be a key enabler for growth in 2015 and beyond.’
