Bon Accord Glass, supplier of windows, doors and conservatories, has been in business in the North East of Scotland for more than 38 years. The company has based its success on providing reliable, professionally made products backed up by excellent customer service. And that service includes offering soft sell, low interest finance to customers through Consumer Credit Solutions (CCS). Martin Allan, Director of Bon Accord Glass, explains: “Traditionally our customers weren’t interested in buying unless they had the money up front. But given the current economic climate, that attitude has changed, and our customers’ interest in credit finance has really taken off in the past few months.”

“We have always had the facility to offer credit,” continues Martin, “but there is definitely more interest now. We’ve been surprised – even those customers who have the money are using “Buy Now Pay Later” or interest free credit from CCS. Our sales people have become much more “switched on” to selling finance. With the CFU all the admin is done centrally which makes it much easier for the sales team. They like the personal service they get from CCS and they now know finance helps them sell. In a tough market we’ve had to fight harder for our share, but we’ve found CCS products have helped, especially when it comes to more expensive purchases which can be all or part funded on credit. Offering finance provides our clients with a cash flow, allowing them to buy when they want to, and we have picked up more business as a result.”
