A new survey has found that 57% prefer showering over baths.  Three-quarters of those who prefer showers say they like them more because they’re quicker, while more than half said they feel cleaner after a shower, and 32% said a shower can “get them going” first thing in the morning.

For those who prefer baths, 70% said a bath helps them switch off, while 54% said it helps them get some “much-needed peace and quiet”. Close to half like to add bubble bath, while 16% will light candles and one in 10 will pour a glass to enjoy in the bath.

The survey of 2,000 UK adults found that they typically showered 20 times a month for an average of nine minutes and 20 seconds, and took eight baths lasting around 25 minutes.
