The Government has issued guidance to assist businesses that work in customers’ homes to get up and running again.
The aim of the guide is to help employers understand how they can interact with households safely during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it provides a practical framework to help you think about what you need to do to continue, or restart, operations. It also contains a link to the Health and Safety Executive’s (HSE) risk assessment guidance, which includes a template for conducting your own risk assessments.
The document has been prepared by the Dept. for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy with input from firms, unions, industry bodies and the devolved administrations in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and in consultation with Public Health England and the HSE.
Please note: as public health is devolved in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, businesses operating outside England should also consider their local public health and safety requirements and legislation.
